Registration for the 2019 Jingle Cross Cyclocross Festival, September. 13-15 in Iowa City, Iowa, opens Thursday, June 20.
Known for its challenging course, fun atmosphere, professional and amateur racing along with incredible local hospitality, Jingle Cross delivers three days of fun and excitement. The highlight of three days of racing will take place on Saturday as the best riders in the world return to Iowa City for round one of the Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup.
In addition to the World Cup, there will be race categories and events for the entire family – including the Jingle Cross Gravel Grinder presented by Shimano, Nulo Doggy Cross, IDT Grinch’s Kids Race and Scheels Junior Devo Cup. In its second year, the Scheels Junior Devo Cup will take place on Saturday, just before the World Cup and is positioned to showcase the next generation of champions. Awards will be given to the top riders of each division, and points will be calculated to determine the best team across all Junior categories.”Jingle Cross has grown into one of the premier cyclo-cross events in the world, and the 2019 edition will have something for everyone,” said Promoter and Race Director John Meehan. “We are excited to have three full days of amateur races in addition to the return of the Gravel Grinder and Junior Devo Cup. Also, there will be a Cross Country 4K Superhero Run on Saturday where runners are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero. Like all events at Jingle Cross, the run benefits the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.”
